January 17, 2022Can you imagine doing 170mph+ in a boat like this?!
For years Outerlimits vied for the title of world’s fastest V-bottom. In 2014, after years of unsuccessful attempts, a canopied Outerlimits SV43 similar to the one pictured here at our shop finally stripped the longstanding kilo V-bottom world record from the firm grip of Reggie Fountain and Fountain Powerboats. With a pair of Mercury Racing 1650s under the hatch, the vessel achieved an astonishing APBA verified average speed of 180.464 mph over two runs.
While this customer won’t be shooting for any world records in this vessel, when we are finished with it the results will be no less thrilling and sure to startle a few cats on the poker run.
